Federico Santiago Valverde Dipetta was born on 22 July 1998 in Montevideo, Uruguay. Growing up in the Valverde family, he was exposed to football at an early age, often playing on the streets of the Ciudad Vieja district. His talent quickly caught the eye of local scouts, and by the age of twelve he joined the youth academy of Peñarol, one of Uruguay’s most historic clubs.
Early Career and Rise at Peñarol
Valverde progressed through Peñarol’s youth ranks, displaying a blend of technical skill and physical endurance that set him apart from his peers. He made his senior debut in 2015, at just seventeen, during a Copa Sudamericana match against Club Atlético River Plate (Argentina). Although his appearances were limited that season, his performances in the reserve team earned him a regular spot in the first‑team squad for the 2016 Uruguayan Primera División.

In August 2017, Real Madrid announced the signing of Federico Valverde for a reported fee of €5.5 million. The Spanish giants immediately placed him in the Real Madrid Castilla side, where he continued his development in the Segunda División B. Loan to Deportivo Alavés
